There are animals that are forbidden in Islam to consume and one of these animals is the snake. Snakes are seen as harmful creatures so eating them might be regarded as showing disrespect or negligence towards their harm.

Quran Verse on Eating Snake

Hadith on Eating Snake
Snakes being one of those creatures that capture prey using their fangs were clearly prohibited by the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) as food.
Narrated Abu Tha`laba:
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) forbade the eating of the meat of beasts having fangs.Sahih al-Bukhari 5530
It was narrated from ‘Aishah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
